In Knox County, Tennessee, a new project is taking shape that’s set to change lives — Operation Hero’s Hill. Championed by Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs, this initiative is more than a housing project. It’s a promise to end veteran homelessness by providing safe, stable, and dignified homes to those who have already given so much for our country.

Best Buy Metals is honored to partner with the Knox County Government, Knox County Schools, D.R. Horton Homes, and a network of sponsors who are all committed to making a real difference in the lives of veterans. Together, we’re not just building houses — we’re creating opportunities for new beginnings.

“For us, this is about more than building a home — it’s about putting our heart into honoring those who have served, letting our hunger to serve drive us to create lasting change, and approaching every step with the grace and humility these heroes deserve,” said Scott Steele, Marketing Specialist, at Best Buy Metals. “It’s the way we do business, the way we treat people, and the reason we’re proud to contribute our expertise in durable metal building materials to ensure these homes are built to last.”

The project is more than construction — it’s community in action. Local businesses, schools, and government agencies are coming together to contribute time, resources, and expertise. It’s a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when a community unites for a shared cause.
